I was born in 1981 in Milford, Massachusetts. I have appeared as soloist on a total of three major globally distributed compact discs with the Starling Chamber Orchestra. My recording debut on the Centaur label in 1993 was of an atonal work titled “Transformations” by Gerhard Samuel, Composer in Residence at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. I appeared soon after as soloist on two CD’s under the ArteNova/BMG label playing Giornovichi Concertos #’s 1, 3, and 9.
My teachers have been (in chronological order): my mother, Carol Dallinger, Mimi Zweig, Kurt Sassmanshaus, Fritz Gerhardt, Charles Castleman, and Bettina Mussumeli. I have had lessons and master classes with the late Dorothy Delay, Donald Weilerstein, and Paul Kantor. The evolution of my approach to the violin and music was furthered equally yet diversely – musically, technically, and spiritually – from all of these sources.
During my early career I toured as a soloist and orchestral player in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Turkey and performed as soloist in venues such as the Cologne Philharmonie, as well as Alice Tully Hall/Lincoln Center, where I performed the world premiere of “Transformations”. I also performed as soloist with the Aspen Music Festival’s Young Artist’s Orchestra playing Wienawski’s d minor Concerto and won first prize in Indianapolis Symphony’s Young Artist Competition with Sarasate’s “Zigeunerweisen”.
I was a student of Bettina Mussumeli as a student at San Francisco Conservatory of Music from 2006-2009, where I finally received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. Now, strangely enough, as a result of fostering other emergent dimensions of myself, I am quite busy making a living as a local Oakland web developer and self-published author on nutrient dense foods.
