Visions

I envision a day when every musician will reclaim his or her rightful role as a healer of this society.

I envision a day when the daily curriculum of every conservatory student begins with yoga and ends with mindfulness meditation.

And the musicology department has Hazrat Inayat Khan’s “The Mysticism of Sound and Music” as required reading.

I envision a day when every great musician is paid a decent living wage.

And when I have the money to open an alternative health center that will heal conditions of compromised immunity.

I envision a day when I record my 6 J.S. Bach Sonatas and Partitas and 6 Eugene Ysaye Sonatas on globally distributed media, in honor of all these visions.

And I am interested in playing things like the selections on my weddings page for your weddings and similar ceremonies, for a reasonable fee.

All in all, I am interested in shifting the dominant paradigm towards mindfulness, compassion, nourishing traditional foods, embodiment, and enlightened living.

And I believe music is the most powerful tool on earth for these purposes.
